Thirteen weeks already - wahoo!! Our little poppy seed is now the size of a peach! It's so crazy to watch and feel the little bump getting bigger and bigger.
I started a new job today. I was working at a fertility practice in Raleigh and now I'm working at a different fertility practice...also in Raleigh. They just moved out of the hospital setting into a posh new clinic. Pros = everything is new, commute chopped in half, better salary (ok, way better salary), and some pretty killer benefits. Cons = new practice (getting organized, certified, settled), learning how they do it, and learning the new systems/computer systems. I think, after a few months, and after working out the kinks, it'll be a good move. At least I'll be able to pay the mortgage and the daycare bill in the same month!
How far along: 13 weeks
Total weight gain: +0.8
Maternity clothes: I finally did it. I got some maternity jeans. Thank you Pea in the Pod after Christmas clearance. AND THEY'RE AWESOME!!
Symptoms: Feelin' good, working on growing that bump
Stretch marks: None yet
Sleep: Last night, with my feisty heartburn, sleep was rough.
Best moment of this week: Getting some good news on test results :)
What's new this week: If it's a baby girl, she's got more than 2 million eggs just hanging out! Hang on to those eggs little one - let's hope you don't get your mama's crappy ovaries. It's body is catching up to it's head - head is only 1/3 of the size of it's body now - not 1/2. And it had fingerprints!!
Miss anything: I wished for a full glass of fully loaded champagne to toast the New Year...but sparkling grape juice was equally awesome. Thanks to my extra special New Years party hostess Megan!
Movement: I'm hoping I can feel the baby in the next 3 weeks but I'm not holding my breath.
Food cravings: Still loving the dairy
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Have you started to show yet: Actually yes!
Gender: Still feeling boy
Labor signs: No
Belly button in or out: In
Wedding rings on or off: On
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: Getting settled at the new job and adjusting to Jess going back to work
The nursery is looking fab. Cant wait to see more pics!!!!
