Week 9

Another short post today...Dexter is on the DVR and I want to finish the blog while Jess finishes up dinner.  I love that show, I swear!

Don't be sad though - Jess is going to guest blog tonight!  YAY!  I can't wait to read it.

Here we go...

How far along:  9 weeks and 1 day

Total weight gain:  Pretty sure 2 lbs - one in each boob
Maternity clothes: Not yet
Symptoms:  Pretty much the same.  The nausea has been a little more aggressive this week but nothing terrible at all.  I'm starting to feel like I have a little more energy from time to time so that's good!
Stretch marks: No way Jose
Sleep:  Still falling asleep the second the head hits the pillow!  And then wake up wanting more
Best moment of this week:  We tootled around Babies R Us and scoped out all the baby gear.  My oh my is there a lot of it!

What's new this week:  The tail is gone!  Woohoo!  Let's hope that actually happened.  The baby is almost an inch, webbed fingers and toes, and fully developed eyes.
Miss anything:  Not really anymore.
Movement: None yet
Food cravings:  Nothing specific.  I'm so waiting for this to happen and wondering if it's going to be completely random stuff!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Occasionally I don't feel too great with smells.  Sutton (our golden retriever) has had some health issues causing him to upchuck from time to time, ok, a lot...ok a lot while we're sleeping.  And it smells like ass.  Worse than ass.  I thought I might lose it last night but everything stayed in...which is more than I can say for Mr Sutton.
Have you started to show yet:  No
Gender: I've got a heavy boy feeling these last few weeks.
Labor signs: Heck no!
Belly button in or out: In
Wedding rings on or off:  On
Happy or moody most of the time:  This week, I'm going to say moody.  Sorry Jess...
Looking forward to:  Not being moody?  Our first OB appointment!  Dec 13 is the big day.  We've chosen to go with a place called Women's Birth and Wellness in Chapel Hill.  It's a free-standing birth center about 3 miles from UNC Hospital.  I know a lot of the midwives there from when I was an UNC labor and delivery nurse so it'll be exciting to be on the other side of things, guided by their knowledgeable and loving hands.  And maybe we'll get to hear the heartbeat again :D
